The Mission of the Souris and Glenwood Community Development Corporation is to promote and enhance economic development in the Town of Souris and the Rural Municipality of Glenwood.
The Economic Development office provides many confidential services including, but not limited to:
- Business Development assistance, including business plans
-Housing development assistance
-Tourism information
-Community Works Loans information and assistance
-Information and assistance for new residents
-Immigration services
-Community organizations - contacts and information
-Community website updates (Update information can be sent to sourisevents@gmail.com)

COMMUNITY WORKS LOAN PROGRAM
The Community Works Loan Program exists to provide a source of locally administered funds to finance the start up or expansion of a small business. This program enables the Town of Souris and Rural Municipality of Glenwood to take a direct role in promoting and sustaining their economic future by assisting new and existing businesses to diversify and create new jobs.

Board of Directors:
The Town of Souris appoints the Mayor and one other Member of Council, plus two members-at-large who are residents and/or ratepayers of the Town, to be Directors.
The Rural Municipality of Glenwood appoints the Reeve plus one other Member of Council plus two members-at-large who are residents and/or ratepayers of the Muncipality, to be Directors.
The Souris Glenwood Chamber of Commerce appoints two members to be Directors; and
The Board of Directors may appoint up to five additional members whose qualifications are deemed of value to the effective operation of the Board in carrying out its Mission. |
