Welcome to the Souris website.

Souris is a vibrant beautiful community nestled at the junction of Plum Creek and the Souris River.  It is surrounded on all sides by the productive farmland of the Rural Municipality of Glenwood.  Souris is a service centre for this farming population as well as its own townspeople.  The town is noted as being a Communities in Bloom National winner, a great sports town with recreational facilities to rival any community's in Manitoba and a wonderful safe place to raise a family.

The K-12 school provides a very progressive educational experience for the approximatley 500 students enrolled there.  We have great healthcare facilities with a modern hospital, lab and personal care home attached, medical centre with three doctors, dentist, chiropractor and pharmacy all ready to serve you.

Souris is a growing community with several new subdivisions currently in planning stages as well as some lots for sale in town property.  Our population has increased roughly 6% over the last ten years.  We are always looking to attract new businesses to our retail sector and new residents to our community.
